According to Lateefah Simms of the U.S. Mint’s Office of Corporate Communications, sales of the 2015 America the Beautiful Quarters Blue Ridge Parkway 5 oz. silver bullion coin will resume on Monday, July 13. The Blue Ridge Parkway silver bullion coin had temporarily sold out by June 22, when the Mint made its initial announcement.
A check of the Mint’s website reveals that the previous total sales of 35,000 units has not changed since June 23. This was the maximum mintage limit for the Blue Ridge Parkway silver bullion coin, so it is as yet unknown what the new mintage limit will be. Together with the 2015 Blue Ridge Parkway 5 oz. silver uncirculated coin–set for release tomorrow, July 7, at noon Eastern Standard Time–the Blue Ridge Parkway 5 oz. silver coin series has a current maximum mintage of 65,000 total.
As usual, CoinWeek will keep you updated as the Mint makes further announcements concerning this program.
