Glenna Goodacre is an American artist, known for her Native American and Central American themed art but especially for her design of the Sacagawea dollar, which debuted in 2000. Dan Anthony is her manager and a longtime friend. Anthony worked with her on the development of the design that was ultimately chosen for the obverse of the small-sized Sacagawea one dollar coin.
On Thursday, April 6, 2017, many important pieces of Goodacre’s art will be offered for sale at public auction, including original works related to the design of the dollar coin.
