2016 U.S. Mint Nixon Presidential $1 Coin Cover & First Spouse Medal Set

The United States Mint will begin accepting orders for the 2016 Richard M. Nixon $1 Coin Cover (product code 16FA) on March 1 at noon Eastern Time (ET).

nixon_pres_1This coin cover is the 37th issue in the United States Mint American Presidency $1 Coin Cover Series. It includes two circulating quality Richard M. Nixon Presidential $1 Coins from the first day of production at the bureau’s facilities in Philadelphia (November 18, 2015) and Denver (October 26, 2015). The coins are mounted on a display card placed inside an envelope with a Red, White, and Blue (Forever®) stamp. The cover is enhanced with a portrait of President Nixon and postmarked March 1, 2016, Yorba Linda, California, which marks the day it was issued by the United States Mint. Only 20,000 units will be produced.

Nixon Presidential $1 Coin and a bronze medal with the same likeness of Patricia Nixon that appears on the First Spouse Gold Coin struck in her honor. The coin and medal are held in a durable plastic card enhanced with portraits of the President and Mrs. Nixon. Issuance information is on the back of the card.
