World Coin Auctions By Künker GmbH ……

We thank you, our customers, for your active participation in the Künker summer world coin auctions 2019, which ended on June 27 at 6.30 pm with great success. In total, more than 1,600 bidders participated in the sale. We were very pleased with the overall hammer price of 7.5 million euros (estimate in total: 5 million euros). A result we are very proud of, and for which we would like to sincerely thank everybody who participated in this sale!

Our auction week started on Monday with a rather unusual time – at 2 pm, German coins and medals were sold in catalog #322. The rarities from the Middle Ages and modern times reached 65% more than the estimate. Particularly popular were the exceptional beautiful medals, which achieved record prices.

Catalog 323 contained a large and very interesting series of French coins, which were very popular as well. After the French coins and medals, we auctioned off at 4 pm the series of Polish rare coins and medals. Most of the rarities came from the already well-known Phoibos collection. This interesting family collection contains many rarities in gold – many of them in stunning condition. The 78 polish gold and silver coins achieved an impressive total hammer price of more than one million euros (estimate: 460,000) which was certainly one of the highlights of our auction week.

The gold coins from catalog #324 were also put up for auction on June 27. The offers included numerous rarities and great qualities. The 1,300 pieces achieved a total hammer price of 2.8 million euros. This result shows us once again that gold coins have a very special fascination among collectors all around the world!

Once again we were able to prove that we are the right address to sell special collections. If you have beautiful or rare individual pieces or an extensive collection and think about submitting them to an auction, please contact us. For our upcoming auctions in Berlin and Osnabruck, we are always happy to accept consignments.

You can view the auction results in detail on our website www.kuenker.de.

Please also note our catalog #325, The Dr. Rainer Opitz Collection, part 3 – 1,000 coins and medals on Reformation and Protestantism, which are being auctioned on the 3rd and 4th of July 2019 on www.elive-auction.de from 6 pm onwards.

For today we say goodbye with the remark that our next auctions will take place on October 7-11, 2019, in Osnabrück.

Our next eLive Auction 55 will take place July 16-18, 2019. From the 8th of July on, you may view the sale online on www.elive-auction.de and place your bids. The auction can also be viewed after the 8th of July by appointment at our business premises.

Many regards from Osnabrück,

Your Künker Team
