Pacific Northwest Numismatic Association to Celebrate 75th Anniversary at Annual Convention

The Pacific Northwest Numismatic Association (PNNA) will celebrate its 75th anniversary with a party on Saturday, May 2 at its annual spring convention in Tukwila, Washington (just south of Seattle). The party and general membership/awards meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m., after the close of the bourse. The convention is a three‐day event, May 1‐3, and includes educational programs and collector exhibits. For more information, please see http://www.pnna.org/convention/convention.html, or call Danny.

The PNNA has also commissioned a 75th anniversary medal with the obverse designed by former U.S. Mint sculptor‐engraver Thomas D. Rogers. The cover of The Nor’wester convention special edition features artwork for this medal. The medals will be struck in silver, copper and antique brass, and should be available at the convention. Sales information will also be posted on the PNNA website.

PNNA wooden nickelThe PNNA was founded in 1940 by the Seattle Coin Club (now the Seattle Numismatic Society) and the Oregon Numismatic Society.
