2016 U.S. Mint Proof Set Sales Open April 1

The 2016 United States Mint Proof Set (product code 16RG) will be available for purchase starting April 1 at noon Eastern Time (EDT).

This set includes the following coins from the bureau’s San Francisco facility:

  • Three Presidential $1 Coins honoring Richard M. Nixon, Gerald R. Ford, and Ronald Reagan;
  • Five America the Beautiful Quarters® Program coins honoring Shawnee National Forest (IL), Cumberland Gap National Historic Park (KY), Harpers Ferry National Historical Park (WV), Theodore Roosevelt National Park (ND), and Fort Moultrie (Fort Sumter National Monument)(SC);
  • One Native American $1 Coin with a reverse design honoring the Code Talkers from both World War I and World War II;
  • One Kennedy half-dollar;
  • One Roosevelt dime;
  • One Jefferson nickel;
  • One Lincoln penny.

The coins are sealed in three protective lenses to accentuate and maintain their exceptional quality. In 2016, the front of the carton has an image of the Washington Monument at sunrise. The back of the carton has an image of each national park or site honored in 2016, its name, the state, and the year in which the park was established as a national site; a portrait of each President honored in 2016, his name, and the years served in office; and the partial coin images of the obverses of the remaining coins. A Certificate of Authenticity accompanies each set.

The 2016 United States Mint Proof Set is priced at $31.95, one dollar less than the 2015 price.
