“The image shows a coin struck by the Nazis in the 1930s to mark a series of articles published in the newspaper Der Angriff about a trip to Palestine by one of their agents.
“It was created by the Nazis to pretend that they wanted an ‘honourable’ solution to the ‘Jewish Question’ via the transfer agreement, which the Nazis later abandoned.
“The coin was of course pure Nazi propaganda, like a rapist pretending to sympathise with his victim.”

As it stands, the bitcoin industry remains unregulated in India with the Indian central bank issuing a public notice stating bitcoin companies in India were not recognized or approved by the authority. Gold, Bullion & Precious Metals
I’ve been talking to colleagues this week about the news of a nearly 18-million ounce find in Shandong province. And it’s been amazing just how mysterious China’s gold sector continues to be, even for many global experts.
Most observers in the gold space know that China is the world’s number one gold-producing nation. A title it claimed in 2008, when it passed Australia for the top spot worldwide.
But the details of this production are much more obscure. For a number of reasons…
The crack-down will be implemented by reversing arrangements for remitting [goods and services tax], so that those buying precious metals must remit and report it, not those selling them…
“There is an even more important purpose for gold – that of strategic reserve,” the economist noted. “Factually, this is ’emergency’ currency which can be used in the event of a collapse of the so-called reserve currencies, including the US dollar, or in the case of a collapse of the global financial system into a series of currency blocs – allowing for trade to occur between these blocs.”

Medals, Tokens & Exonumia
The Orillia Museum of Art and History (OMAH) is taking orders for a commemorative coin designed for the museum by local artist Tony Bianco.
As a long-time artist for the Royal Canadian Mint, Bianco is no stranger to the process of compressing pertinent information onto a miniature canvas.
“I’ve done about 50 different coins for the mint and you begin to realize you have to edit your ideas pretty severely to say something on a two-inch canvas,” he said…

Just for Fun
Stock imagery has played a significant role in developing the visual language of technology. Yes, a lot of technology stock imagery is seriously bizarre — see the infamous bitcoin gold coin — but as people in the business told me, translating the digital into useful, 2D form is no easy feat…
