In this video, Early American Coppers (EAC) president Bill Eckberg breaks down the U.S. half cent denomination for those interested in building a type set.
The half cent was produced at the Philadelphia Mint from 1793 to 1857. It underwent a number of changes over the years and features many of the hobby’s most iconic designs.
Bill breaks down each coin type in the set and gives expert insights into how each one was made.
This video was shot with the generous support of Early American Coppers and was filmed at the 2019 EAC Happening, which took place in Dayton, Ohio.
