Dear Set Registry Members,
It’s hard to believe that another year has passed and it’s awards season again. We’ve added over 250 new composites, and some amazing new sets have been registered. We’ve incorporated a Top Pop Bonus plan and have added the Digital Coin Album feature. You can say it’s been a busy and productive year! We continue to be amazed at the growth of the registry. And that growth is due to the participation, support and loyalty of you, our members. Whether you are new to the registry or have been with us for years, we thank you.
The deadline for adding and updating your sets is Tuesday, June 30, 2015, 5pm EST/2pm Pacific Standard Time (PST). All sets will be judged the first week in July based on their status at the deadline. Our judges include numismatic experts from PCGS. Winners will be announced in July.
To be a contender, your published set must be ranked number one with at a least 95% completion, or, in the case of large set compositions, those sets with 500 or more coins registered in one set are also contenders. Other than those qualifications, there is nothing you need to do. (Note that the completion requirement may be waived when the judges review sets which contain especially rare coins.) As a reminder, you must own and have possession of any coin you list in your set.
This year we are adding a new category for Best Digital Coin Albums. Many of you have already taken the time to create your albums which can be found linked from the news page here. If you haven’t posted your album yet, get busy! Set Registry members will judge the albums and vote for their favorites. Those albums who have won the most votes will win a major award. We are taking nominations for the next two weeks until 6/16/15. Candidates should have high quality obverse and reverse images, an interesting set description, and be complete. Send your nomination to [email protected] with the name of the album and a link to it. Once all nominations are in, you will be given an opportunity to vote for your favorite.
