MA-Shops expands further and welcomes a well-known expert from the United States

David Lawrence Rare Coins (DLRC) is a family business founded in 1979 by David Lawrence Feigenbaum in his spare bedroom. David, a Ph.D. in Marine Biology, was a passionate coin collector his entire life, who made the jump to coin dealing when his collecting desires exceeded his limited professor’s budget. After a long battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease), his son John oversaw the company’s growth until 2015. In August of 2015, John became the Publisher of CDN Publishing and passed along the operation of DLRC to John Brush.

John Brush partnered with uber-collector Dell Loy Hansen in 2018, and now manages the company with the help of an extremely dedicated staff of 18 employees. The management team has a cumulative total of over 50 years with the company.

DLRC is deeply passionate about all aspects of coin collecting but is equally focused on bringing the latest technology advances to the hobby, and the best customer service possible. Over the years, we’ve helped build some of the greatest collections of our time and are the curators of the D.L. Hansen Collection of U.S. Coins, which is a contender for the great private collection of U.S. coins ever assembled. In some cases, we even helped sell these collections, as we did the Richmond Collection in 2004-2005. In fact, it was the first complete collection to garner over $20 million in public auction.

In recent years, David Lawrence Rare Coins has not only handled some great rarities like two examples of the 1894-S Dime, the finest 1901-S Barber Quarter (PCGS/CAC MS68+), the 1815 $5 PCGS MS65, and the finest 1884 Trade Dollar, as well as brokering the finest collection of Seated Liberty dollars; we have also offered what is considered to be one of the largest active inventories of classic U.S. coins. We simply love what we do at DLRC and whether the coin is worth $5 or $5 million, we understand the rarity and the importance that collecting can play in one’s everyday life.
