Hard-to-Find Barber Half Dollar at David Lawrence Rare Coins Internet Auction

David Lawrence Rare Coins 997

By David Lawrence Rare Coins ……

Our Sunday Internet Auction #997 offers a fantastic selection 300 New Items along with 50 No Reserve lots and 30 Vault Values. All lots will begin closing at 8pm EST on Sunday, January 28. Some of the more interesting highlights from this week’s sale include:

Our first highlight is an 1897-S 50c PCGS MS67. A very tough, underrated date that is missing from most Barber half collections. Smooth, original surfaces with blue, rose, and lavender highlights. Only a single coin is graded finer by PCGS.

This week’s second highlight coin is an 1800 $5 PCGS/CAC MS64 (BD-4, Blunt 1). A particularly nice example of this scarce date with only a single pieces graded finer by PCGS. The lack of adjustment marks and the beautiful olive-golden skin highlight this popular and scarce early gold issue.

Of course there are many other highlights, so be sure to browse all lots in this exciting new sale before it closes on Sunday, January 28.
