This week’s auction features a gorgeous array of US gold issues that are part of the Summertime Blues Gold Type Collection, including several common date issues of rarer gold types and a few rarer date issues. Hand-picked by a long-time collector, eye-appeal was of the utmost importance!

Some of the more interesting highlights from this week’s sale include:

This week’s first highlight is an 1803/2 $5 PCGS MS64. A beautifully lustrous early Half Eagle gold coin with fantastic eye appeal. Frosty yellow-gold color on this collectible overdate variety.

This week’s second highlight selection is an 1896 $2 1/2 PCGS/CAC Proof 65 DCAM. Beautiful surfaces with fantastic eye appeal, this gem example of this popular proof gold type is a true beauty that certainly deserves a home in an advanced collection of US coins.
