What’s your coin collecting story? Did you start when you were a child? Did you inherit a collection? Who was your inspiration? Numismatists around the nation, and the Littleton Coin Company, want to know. Enter Littleton’s Collector Stories Video Contest, upload a short video describing your story and you could win a $500 gift card.
Whether you are a seasoned collector or just getting started, the odds are you have an interesting story about what, or why you collect. Perhaps you learned the hobby from an older relative, or collected from the mail when you were a kid, or found coins in interesting places or famous locations. Sharing your collecting story could be an inspiration for others and help promote the hobby!
The idea of a contest came from some of Littleton’s employees. They wanted to highlight collectors’ stories so others could read them and be inspired. The Collector Stories Video Contest was a great way to kick off the project. The winning stories will be featured in upcoming publications.
“We hear lots of stories from our collectors,” said Rick Songdahl of Littleton’s Customer Service team. “We have one teacher who is a collector. She uses her Presidential dollar collection as a teaching tool in her 3rd grade class. We have another collector who is a baseball umpire. He buys reprocessed steel cents to give out to teams and teach them about history. It seems like everyone has their own captivating story.”

Click on the contest and upload your video. At the end of the entry period, Littleton Coin’s panel of judges will select the winning entries with consideration given to online votes. Grand Prize is a $500 gift card to LCC, second prize is a $250 gift card and the third prize is a $100 gift card.
