A Norwegian 1917 2 øre and 1670 King Frederik III funeral commemorative coin, both beautiful items, are among the new offerings from the shop Denarius. This new shop, owned by Marius Ringsrud, is a member of the Norwegian Coin Dealer Assocation since 2017. Marius received his Masters degree in Classical Studies in 2008, with a thesis concerning Lydian coins. He has since published articles in the Nordic Numismatic Union’s journal, the Norwegian National Archives’ journal Arkivmagasinet, the annual pricelist Norges Mynter, and others.
Currently, Denarius is an online coin and banknote dealer. The modern numismatist is not tied to a specific geographical area. Nor does he or she think about opening hours: the internet never closes!
