MintProducts Auctions June 4th Rare Coin & Currency Auction Open for Bidding

MintProducts Auctions’ (MPA) second sale of 2016 is open for online bidding and contains over 600 diverse lots, hundreds of which are being offered without reserve. The live auction is being held on Saturday, June 4 in Nashua, New Hampshire at the Holiday Inn.

“Our June Sale includes some real rarities in both the coin and currency categories, as well as items from two estates,” said Jeff Kierstead, owner of MintProducts Auctions. “We think just about all of the numismatic community could find items of interest in this sale.”

The 608 lot auction offers a diverse selection of coins that include some rare and key issues.

Some highlights include an exceedingly rare 1744 Massachusetts “Tall” Bill; The Eliasberg 1889 Seated Half; a scarce 1652 Pine Tree Threepence that is PCGS-certified; a key 1889-CC Morgan in XF-40; a PCGS-certified key 1942/41 Mercury Dime, and a rare Choice 1787 Fugio Cent Certified XF-40.

Other currency pieces that will catch the eye of bidders include the PMG-certified 1865 Maine $2.00 “Lazy Deuce”; a New Hampshire 40 Shillings Colonial Note; and a 1905 $20.00 Gold Certificate.

The highlight of the gold coins being offered is the high-grade, NGC-certified 1801 $10.00, but the rare PCGS-certified 1924-D $20.00 Saint-Gaudens and the superb 1924 $20.00 Saint-Gaudens NGC-certified MS-67 are equally as desirable and highly sought after.

The auction is scheduled for an evening start of 5PM Eastern Daylight Time on Saturday, June 4. Bidders can preview lots prior to the sale from 10:30AM – 4:30PM. Absentee bid sheets accepted through 4PM on auction day. Online bidding closes Saturday, June 4 at Noon EDT.
