The United States Mint is opening sales for both the 2019 American Liberty High Relief Gold Coin (product code 19DA) and the 2019 American Liberty High Relief Silver Medal (product code 19DB) on August 15 at noon EDT.

The 2019 American Liberty High Relief Gold Coin and Silver Medal continue the celebration of modern renditions of the iconic figure of Liberty. The 2017 225th Anniversary High Relief Gold Coin™ won Best Gold Coin in Krause Publications’ 2019 Coin of the Year Awards.

The obverse of this coin features Liberty with 13 rays of light emanating along her headdress, symbolizing the free and creative spirit of America’s people. Inscriptions are “LIBERTY,” “2019,” and “IN GOD WE TRUST.” The reverse design features a bald eagle as it prepares to land. The inscriptions are “$100,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “1 OZ.,” “.9999 FINE GOLD,” and “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.”

The medal displays the same modern rendition of the iconic figure of Liberty as the 2019 American Liberty High Relief Gold Coin. Its reverse is also the same, except that only the inscription “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” is present.

Each coin and medal is packaged in its own black hand-lacquered hardwood presentation box with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA). Mint Director David J. Ryder has autographed a limited number of the gold coin COAs.

Pricing for the American Liberty High Relief Gold Coin is determined according to the range in which it appears on the Mint’s “Pricing of Numismatic Gold, Commemorative Gold, Platinum, and Palladium Products” table. The 2019 table is available here.

The medal is priced at $99.95.
