Our Sunday Internet Auction #1077 offers a gorgeous Morgan Dollar from the D.L. Hansen Collection, a beautiful Deep Cameo proof Morgan Dollar, a rare Civil War Proof $5 gold piece, a choice 1852/1 Humbert $10 and countless other PCGS-, NGC-, and CAC-certified pieces. Our first highlight coin is an 1881-S $1 PCGS MS68 PL ex: D.L.Hansen. A gorgeous gem with a light iridescent rim toning on the reverse that is from the coveted D.L. Hansen Collection!
This week’s second highlight is an 1898 $1 PCGS Proof 66 DCAM. With beautiful Deep Cameo mirrors with light golden rim tints, this piece is a gorgeous example that is absolutely fantastic for the grade. It comes from a mintage of just 735 coins struck in proof format.
The third highlight is an 1861 $5 NGC Proof 64 CAM. An incredibly rare Civil War Proof of which only three or four pieces are known in public or private hands. The fields are lightly hairlined, but deeply contrasting to the devices for the true cameo effect. It is an exceedingly rare offering with amazing eye appeal.
Our final highlight is an 1852/1 Humbert $10 NGC AU55 (K-8). This piece is a lustrous AU example of this popular territorial gold issue.
