Large Selection of NGC Details Small Denomination Gold Coins in Rago’s Dec. 2 Auction

Rago - NGC Details - Coins and Currency

Prospects look good for sales of NGC Details small denomination gold coins among a broad variety of numismatics on Saturday, December 2, at Rago. The auction of almost 500 lots includes coins and currency spanning two millennia and over a dozen countries. You’ll find several highly graded Colonial and American coins, a single-owner collection of Barber quarters and half-dollars, in addition to a selection of NGC Details rare small denomination gold coins from short run mints. Highlights include; 1912 Sun Yat Sen Chinese $1 Coin NGC graded at MS65 (only 10 higher graded examples of this coin exist); a 1777 Benjamin Franklin Terracotta Medallion designed by Jean-Baptiste; and a lightly circulated 1914 First National Bank of Manitowoc $10 Note with a serial number of 1.
“We’re excited to be offering a fine collection of small denomination gold coins from short run branch mints of Charlotte and Dahlonega, including some of the rarest coins in the series. Seasoned collectors often wait years for the opportunity to bid on coins like these – and here is their chance!”
