Story
The Gilded Jolly Pig is the fourth coin CIT Coin Invest AG is issuing on behalf of Mongolia in celebration of the Chinese New Year. Just in time for the beginning of the Year of the Pig on February 5, 2019, “Jolly Pig”, struck in application of Smartminting technology, is now available in a gilded version.
CIT Coin Invest AG has designed Gilded Golly Pig as yet another attractive numismatic miniature sculpture in Smartminting technology. The production method has made it possible to set the little pig upright outside of its packaging. Hence, this is not just a collector’s item for demanding coin enthusiasts, but also a wonderful lucky charm for the upcoming new year.
Since 2016, CIT Coin Invest AG has been issuing very popular coins on behalf of Mongolia in celebration of the Chinese New Year. Smartminting technology was applied for all issues from the beginning. Said technology has since been developed far enough to make it possible to produce small distinct sculptures instead of simple high relief coins. Both Gilded Jolly Pig as well as Jolly Silver Pig demonstrate what Smartminting technology is capable of.
By the way, in the Chinese calendar, the pig represents indispensable honesty.
