Save Time and Bypass the Lines
Its not too early to be making plans for the American Numismatic Association’s (ANA) 2017 National Money Show in Orlando. The convention takes place March 9-11 in West Hall E of the Orange County Convention Center at 9400 Universal Blvd.
ANA members can bypass the admission lines by pre-registering for the show at www.nationalmoneyshow.com, or calling 800-514-2646.
The three-day show features more than 500 numismatic dealers with extensive inventories; a wide range of technical seminars and educational presentations; collectors exhibits; a major auction by Kagins Inc.; as well as the ANA Museum Showcase, exhibiting some of the world’s most valuable and beautiful coins and paper money.
Show hours are 10 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, March 9 and 10; and 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 11. Last admission is 30 minutes prior to closing. General admission is $8. Admission is free on Saturday, March 11. Admission is always free for ANA members and children under 12. A benefit of ANA membership is the ability to enter the show 30 minutes before the public on Friday and Saturday. Accomodations
The deadline to book hotel rooms at a special rate for the Orlando National Money Show is February 13, or until the ANA hotel block has been filled.

Attendees of the National Money Show in Orlando won’t want to miss the ANAs pre-convention, two-day Technical Series Seminars. From the fundamentals of coin grading to the intricacies of paper money, tokens and medals created and used during the American colonial period, the technical seminars offer proven tips and tools to enhance any collectors numismatic skills and enjoyment of the hobby. Both seminars take place March 7-8 at the Rosen Plaza Hotel, located at 9700 International Drive. Register by February 3 for a $20 early enrollment discount.
Coin Grading, Problem Coins and Conservation
This two-day seminar will help students avoid costly mistakes by developing their grading skills and teaching them to spot a wide variety of surface problems, enhancements, alterations and conservation issues that can adversely affect a coins grade.

Numismatics of Colonial America
Discover the intricacies of the early history of the nation through this hands-on seminar. Students will be introduced to corollary fields, period contexts and archaeological precedents.

Prestige, Competition, Community
Collector exhibits are among the most popular features at every ANA show. It’s a great opportunity for hobbyists to share their collections and research with fellow numismatists through high-quality displays. The individual creativity is rivaled only by the quality and variety of the items on display. The application deadline is January 11.
