The Philharmonic coins, available in Gold, Silver and Platinum, are recognized around the world for their iconic imagery that depicts the Vienna Philharmonic, perhaps the most-renowned orchestra in the world.
The Gold Philharmonic, the first of the Philharmonic bullion coins, was released in 1989. According to the World Gold Council, it was the best selling Gold coin in 1992, 1995 and 1996.

Finally, in 2016, the Austrian Mint released a Platinum version that has opened the series up to new investors and collectors.
