Triple Murder at Mississippi Coin Shop

By CoinWeek News Staff ….
Three people were killed at a coin shop in Jackson, Mississippi on Saturday, December 17. The owner of the store, Cleveland “Captain Bill” Mosley, 81, was among the victims. Robert Ivy, 60, and Ted McLemore, 77, were also murdered in an apparent robbery/homicide.

Jackson police received a call concerning the crime around 8:50 pm on Saturday, according to WLBT-NBC channel 3.

Multiple items were missing from the premises and unaccounted for, leading police to suspect robbery as the motive. The store’s security system had been tampered with, and some of the surveillance equipment had apparently been taken as well. Each man found had been shot.

There are currently no suspects or witnesses, but the Jackson Police Department may be contacted at (601) 960-1234 or (601) 355-TIPS (8477).

According to Mr. Mosley, Bill’s Coin Stamp and Jewelry was a “fully staffed & stocked coin & jewelry store, with a wide variety [of] antique rings, watches.” Mosley was also a distributor of U.S. Mint products, and sold American Silver Eagles and Gold Eagles, along with 90% silver coins.

CoinWeek will update this story as information comes in about the crime and possible suspects.
