The PCGS Set Registry (www.PCGS.com/SetRegistry) continues its push into the digital age with its latest design, allowing coin collectors to enjoy the digital collecting experience on mobile devices.
With 82,281 registered sets, and counting, the online coin hub just received a sleek, new interface, which allows users to navigate the site in a streamlined manner on their smartphones.
“Back in 2001, PCGS introduced the PCGS Set Registry to the web, and since then we’ve prioritized growing and evolving the digital experience. As the internet evolves, so too will the PCGS Set Registry and our other online tools,” said PCGS President Don Willis.
The update was in the development stages for a large portion of 2016, and includes a new, streamlined online experience where users can update, review and share digital representations of their collections.
“This new update is full of brand new features to enhance the collecting experience. For instance, users can now upload pictures of their coins directly from their mobile devices,” said PCGS Set Registry Director BJ Searls.
In addition to the latest features of the PCGS Set Registry, the company also plans to launch a mobile app, compatible with Android and iOS devices, in the coming months.
“Though coin collecting is a time-honored hobby, the technology we use to bolster that hobby is cutting edge. With updates to the Set Registry and a forthcoming app, PCGS continues to lead the hobby into the future,” said Willis.
