Schedule Set for World Mint Stage at 2011 World’s Fair of Money

Mints and other organizations at the 2011 World’s Fair of Money will discuss new issues and events during presentations on the World Mint Stage, located at Booth 1077. In addition, “Coin Collecting 101,” a 30-minute presentation for numismatic newcomers conducted by ANA Numismatic Educator Rod Gillis, will be held at various times on the stage.

Tuesday, August 16

  • 11 a.m.: Treasurer’s Public Forum, Rosie Rios, United States Treasurer
  • 2 p.m.: Coin Collecting 101

Wednesday, August 17

  • 10 a.m.: Coin Collecting 101
  • 11 a.m.: The Royal Canadian Mint
  • 1 p.m.: “Turning Point for Numismatics,” Karen Lee, project director, National Numismatic Collection
  • 2 p.m.: Coin Collecting 101

Thursday, August 18

  • 10 a.m.: Coin Collecting 101
  • 2 p.m.: Coin Collecting 101
  • 3 p.m.: The Japan Mint

Friday, August 19

  • 10 a.m.: Coin Collecting 101
  • 1 p.m.: The United States Mint, A forum with Richard Peterson, Deputy Director, U.S. Mint

Adam Crum
Adam Crum was born in Dallas, Texas, and was introduced to coin collecting by his father. His fascination with the business grew, and it became a full-time enterprise by the time he was 22 years old. In addition to being an avid student of U.S. numismatics, he has spent his career helping others to understand how to buy and sell U.S. coins successfully. He has continually published newsletters, books, and video programs on rare coins since 1991, has been published in most of the leading coin industry publications, and has been a guest on many regional and national broadcast programs. Adam Crum is a member of most of the leading numismatic organizations and currently resides in Southern California with his wife and three children.
