You Talked, Stack’s Bowers Listened: Bidding Online Even Easier Thanks to Improved Website

Stack's Bowers Website

We listened to your feedback and are happy to announce the following improvements at StacksBowers.com

The new deployment of our website, StackBowers.com, includes the following changes:

  • We removed the “Confirm” step in the live bidding room – StacksBowers.com is now a One-Click Bid
  • We now allow for Half Bid Increments
  • Enhancements to our Auction Archives
  • You can now right click to open a new tab on auction lot listings

One-Click Bidding

We have removed the “Confirm” button from the Live Bidding Room. It is now a One-Click Bid at StacksBowers.com.

Half-Bid Increments

During pre-sale bidding, StacksBowers.com has implemented the popularly requested “cut bid” feature on lots with current bids over $500. During the pre-sale portion of the auction, there is no limit to the number of times you can enter a cut bid on a particular lot. However, once a lot opens on the podium during live bidding, our live auction gallery rules will apply and a bidder can cut the bid (or bid a half increment) only once per lot. If outbid, he will then be able to continue bidding on the lot using full increments.

Again, the current bid has to be at a minimum of $500 for any cut bid to be accepted.

New Enhancements in Auction Archives

Now when you select Auction Archives from the Auctions tab at the top of the screen and submit a search query, more information will be shown per entry than in the past. For instance, information about each item’s most recent sale is now present on the first page under the coin’s name, grade and other identifying information.

Right Click Functionality

It isn’t always the most convenient way to browse individual auction lots when you have to navigate back to the main listing with your browser’s back button to see more. StacksBowers.com now offers the ability to open several lots in different tabs, allowing bidders to easily tab back and forth between lots to compare.
