Stardust Silver announces their newest release, Terminator Genisys™ GUARDIAN 1 oz .999 Fine Silver Proof. The GUARDIAN Terminator Coin follows the 1 oz .999 Fine Silver Terminator T-800 Reverse Proof commemorative, celebrating over 30 Years of the Terminator™ franchise.

With a numismatic market as diverse and quick moving as the one we have today, and with the increasing interest in popular culture themed coins, especially Star Wars, Marvel, Star Trek and Disney, it was an easy decision to build on Stardust Silver’s Terminator silver round from last year. Like Arnie in the movie, they’re back.
Following on from the cool looking Terminator Endoskeleton round of late 2015 and mid-2016, Stardust have returned with a coin featuring a coloured image of Arnold Schwarzenegger as the T-800. Themed around the 2015 movie Terminator: Genisys, this one employs a far greater coverage of colour than the eye highlights of the first entrant in the series. Just the inscription ‘GUARDIAN’ in a polished finished against the main satined background, sits on the reverse face, a nod to the role that Arnie’s character plays in the last to date of the Terminator franchise.

Guardian Proof Details
Obverse: The battle-damaged GUARDIAN, a reprogrammed Terminator T-800, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the movie Terminator Genisys™, gun firing, blasting the bad guys, is sculpted and colorized on the front of this proof. He “Pops” from the satin field, with mirrored, raised character name GUARDIAN.
Reverse: The reverse of the GUARDIAN is divided into three (3) scenes.
- The top half has a satin field with the bio of the GUARDIAN in raised text – GUARDIAN: A REPROGRAMMED T-800 SENT BACK IN TIME TO PROTECT SARAH CONNOR AND STOP SKYNET IN ORDER TO RESET THE FUTURE.
- The middle of the proof is the raised TERMINATOR GENISYS™ Logo across the diameter with polished mirrored background.
- The bottom half of the proof depicts the carnage caused by Skynet’s A.I. killer robots with a group of human skulls. The lead skull is polished mirrored. The subsequent skulls are laser cut with a satin finish. Each proof is numbered. The number is engraved on the smooth edge at 6 o’clock.
The GUARDIAN continues to be a favorite character in the Terminator series, a science-fiction franchised created by James Cameron and Gale Anne Hurd.
The franchise encompasses a series of films, comics, novels and additional media concerning battles between Skynet’s synthetic intelligent machine network, and John Connor’s Resistance forces, as well as, the rest of the human race. Skynet’s most well known creations are the various Terminator models, such as the T-800 (Model 101), who was portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger from the first film, “The Terminator” and as the Guardian in “Terminator Genisys”.
