The Perth Mint – New Product Releases for October 2011

October is proving to be another exciting month at The Perth Mint, with an immense range of highly anticipated new product releases.

The Perth Mint is proud to showcase its internationally renowned Australian Lunar Series II this month, celebrating the auspicious 2012 Year of the Dragon. This month’s lunar releases include the stunning special edition 1 kilo silver gemstone coin, the 1oz silver gilded coin, the 1oz silver typeset collection, and the 1oz and 1/2oz silver proof coloured editions.

After the success of the first two coin releases, we are excited to announce the third coin in the Famous Battle in Australian History series – Kokoda. The Kokoda Trail campaign was part of the Pacific War during the Second World War and this stunning coin is a fitting tribute to this campaign.

Taking the ‘Pledge of Commitment’ and receiving Australian Citizenship is a proud and often moving moment for many new Australians. To help celebrate this joyful and important milestone, The Perth Mint has issued the 2012 Australian Citizenship $1 coin which celebrates being an Australian.

The Perth Mint and Australia Post are pleased to present the fourth release in the adorable Australian Bush Babies Stamp and Coin series, featuring the cute Australian sugar glider. The official Australia Post $4.70 stamp is postmarked for the first day of issue and the envelope is endorsed with Australia Post’s Seal of Authenticity and official number.

These and other exciting new products make October another great month of releases from The Perth Mint.
