The United States Mint has updated its online product schedule to include January release dates for a handful of its upcoming U.S. Mint 2017 products:

The America the Beautiful Quarters 2017 Proof Set will be available on January 5. This year’s quarters include Effigy Mounds National Monument (Iowa); Frederick Douglass National Historic Site (Washington, D.C.); Ozark National Scenic Riverways (Missouri); Ellis Island (Statue of Liberty National Monument) (New Jersey); and George Rogers Clark National Historical Park (Indiana). Collectively, the 2017 America the Beautiful quarters are issues 36-40 in the 56-coin, 12-year program.

Both the 2017 Birth Set and 2017 Happy Birthday Set come out on January 10. Each year’s Birth Set consists of Proof versions of the Lincoln cent, Jefferson nickel, Roosevelt dime, Kennedy half dollar and the first America the Beautiful quarter of the year (in the case of 2017, this would be the Effigy Mounds National Monument quarter), all struck at the San francisco Mint and featuring the “S” mint mark. The Happy Birthday Set also consists of S-Mint Proofs of the penny, nickel, dime and half dollar, but the quarter is represented by the last America the Beautiful issue of the year. For 2017, this is the George Rogers Clark National Historical Park quarter.

January 18 sees the release of the Lions Club International 2017 Centennial Proof and Uncirculated silver dollars. The first of 2017’s two commemorative coin programs, the coin honors the charitable work of the Lions Club and its founder Melvin Jones. A release date for the second commemorative program of 2017, the Boys Town Centennial, has yet to be determined by the Mint.

And finally, 25-coin rolls, 100-coin bags and 250-coin boxes of the 2017 Native American $1 coin go on sale January 25. This year’s reverse features Sequoyah, the great Cherokee teacher and creator of the Cherokee syllabary.

The rest of the Mint’s quarterly agenda (as seen here) has yet to be scheduled. CoinWeek will, of course, keep you posted.
