The Royal Canadian Mint today launched the final release from its Canadian Birds of Prey 99.99% pure silver bullion coin series with a dramatic tribute to the Great Horned Owl.  North America’s most prominent predatory bird, ranging from the Arctic to South America, is vividly portrayed on a 1 oz. bullion coin that is sure to appeal to a wide range of customers for both its theme and signature purity.  It is now shipping to the Mint’s network of official bullion distributors as online dealers begin accepting orders today.

The 2015-dated, “Great Horned Owl” bullion coin is crafted of one ounce of 99.99% pure silver and designed by acclaimed Canadian illustrator Emily Damstra.  The image of the airborne hunter descending on its prey is brilliantly polished and starkly contrasted by a lined bullion finish. Like all other issues in this series, this coin is limited to only one million examples world-wide.

In keeping with a distribution model common to the world’s major issuers of bullion coins, the Mint does not sell precious metal investment products directly to the public.  Interested buyers are encouraged to contact a reputable bullion dealer to order this new coin.

  1. This looks like my favorite one of the series. Hopefully RCM will put out a limited gold gilded version, with box & coa.
