Luxembourg to Issue Castle Brandenburg Silver-Niobium Coin, Congress of Vienna Silver Coin

On Thursday, July 23, 2015, several numismatic products will be available for sale at the Central Bank of Luxembourg (Banque Centrale Luxembourg) numismatic space, including:

  1. The Castle Brandenburg silver-niobium coin is the seventh in a series of nine pieces dedicated to Luxembourg castles. The obverse features a representation of the Castle, the coat of arms of Brandenburg and the face value of five euros. The obverse features a portrait of HRH Grand Duke Henri designed by Luxembourg artist Yvette Gastauer-Claire. Inscriptions include LËTZEBUERG and the year 2015.The coin is struck “Proof-like” with a smooth edge, a diameter of 34 mm, and a total weight of 16.6 g of 92.5% pure silver and 99.9% pure niobium.The silver-niobium Castle Brandenburg coin is limited to a mintage of 3,000 and produced by the Austrian Mint. It is priced at €85.
  2. The 200th Anniversary of the Congress of Vienna commemorative silver coin features a representation of those assembled in the 1815 Congress, the Final Act of the Treaty and the face value of five euros on the obverse. The obverse features a portrait of HRH Grand Duke Henri designed by Luxembourg artist Yvette Gastauer-Claire. Inscriptions include LËTZEBUERG and the year 2015.The coin is struck “Proof-like” with a smooth edge, a diameter of 34 mm, and a total weight of 20 g.

The silver 200th Anniversary of the Congress of Vienna commemorative coin is limited to a mintage of 2,500 and produced by the Austrian Mint. It is priced at €75.
