Watch: The Joel R. Anderson Multi-Million Dollar Collection of Paper Money, Part IV Highlights

 

On February 28, 2019, Stack’s Bowers concluded the final session in a four-part paper money offering of the Joel R. Anderson Collection.

Anderson is a major figure in the American publishing industry and is director and chairman of the Anderson Companies, where he oversees a portfolio of diverse businesses in publishing and retail, including companies Books-A-Million, the country’s second-largest book retailer; Whitman Publishing; and Anderson Press.

The 54 lots that make up this fourth section include many six-figure banknotes and three notes that exceed $1,000,000 in value.

Included are the rarest of the rare and many of the finest known examples of their type.
