The Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC), the body that advises the Secretary of the Treasury on the themes and designs of U.S. coinage and medals, will convene a public meeting via video conference on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM (EDT).

Key Agenda Items

The meeting’s primary focus will be the review and discussion of candidate designs for the 2027 American Liberty Coin and Medal. This series, which features reinterpretations of the classic figure of Liberty, is a key focus for both numismatists and the public. The committee is also slated to approve the Fiscal Year 2025 CCAC Annual Report.

How to Watch and Participate

Interested members of the public can live stream the proceedings on the United States Mint’s official YouTube Channel. Viewers should look for the “October 21, 2025” icon under the Live Tab on the specified day.

While the remote access is for observation only, the public can still contribute by submitting matters for the CCAC’s consideration via email to [email protected].

For the latest updates on meeting times and access, citizens are advised to call the CCAC hotline at (202) 354-7502.

CCAC’s Role

The CCAC plays a crucial role in shaping the nation’s coinage, advising on circulating and bullion coinage, as well as Congressional Gold Medals and national medals. It also makes recommendations on commemorative coin programs, including the events, persons, or places to be commemorated, as well as the mintage levels.

Accessibility and Contact

Those who require an accommodation to watch the meeting should contact the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity by October 14, 2025, by emailing [email protected] or calling (202) 354-7260 or (888) 646-8369 (TTY).

For further information about the meeting, contact Jennifer Warren, United States Mint Liaison to the CCAC, at (202) 354-7208.
