ICTA is the watchdog in Washington, D.C. for the numismatic business regarding laws affecting the industry. Legislation is monitored and reported to the ICTA membership and then selectively lobbied to allow favorable terms for the precious metals trade.
According to ICTA as the US recession continues new laws are being proposed that affect coin dealers that include a proposed national sales tax. There is also a push to strength the Hobby Protection Act to help protect collectors as well as continued issues regarding cash reporting.
Learn how ICTA functions as an information hub to help protect the coin and precious metals industry.
