Sales for the United States Mint 2015 Philadelphia (P) and Denver (D) Presidential $1 Four-Coin Sets opened today, October 22, at noon Eastern.
Each set contains one circulation strike specimen of each of the year’s four Presidential $1 coins (though none of the coins have entered circulation). This year’s presidents include Harry S. Truman (33), Dwight D. Eisenhower (34), John F. Kennedy (35) and Lyndon B. Johnson (36). Both the Denver set (Product Code DE2) and the Philadelphia set (Product Code DE1) have a retail price of US$12.95.
There are no mintage, product or household order limits on these items.
The Presidential $1 coin series was authorized by the Presidential $1 Coin Act of 2005 (Public Law 109-145). 2016 will be the final year of the program.
