Sales for the United States Mint Philadelphia (P) and Denver (D) 2015 Presidential $1 Four-Coin Set opened today, October 22, at noon Eastern.
Each set contains one circulation strike specimen of each of the year’s four Presidential $1 coins (though none of the coins have entered circulation). This year’s presidents include Harry S. Truman (33), Dwight D. Eisenhower (34), John F. Kennedy (35) and Lyndon B. Johnson (36). Both the Denver set (Product Code DE2) and the Philadelphia set (Product Code DE1) have a retail price of $12.95.
There are no mintage, product or household order limits on the 2015 Presidential $1 Four-Coin Sets.
The Presidential $1 coin series was authorized by the Presidential $1 Coin Act of 2005 (Public Law 109-145 – PDF link). 2016 will be the final year of the program, barring future legislation.
