United States Mint sculptor-engraver Michael Gaudioso earned a Masters of Fine Arts degree from the New York Academy Graduate School of Figurative Art in New York City. He further studied the art of sculpture at Russia’s prestigious Repin Institute in St. Petersburg. Gaudioso joined the Mint in 2009. He has designed more than one dozen designs that have been executed as United States coins or medals.
