AU Capital Management president Russ Augustin sent CoinWeek this fascinating blunder of U.S. Mint quality control – a 2016 gold Mercury dime with a large reverse strike thru.
This Gold Mercury dime error slipped past U.S. Mint quality control and was included in an order of coins that Russ had purchased directly from the U.S. Mint. The coin has been graded MS69 by NGC. Collectors interested in owning this coin can contact Russ to inquire about the coin.
