Glenna Goodacre is an American artist, known for her Native American and Central American art and also for her Sacagawea dollar design. Dan Anthony is her manager and a longtime friend. Anthony worked with her on the development of the design that was ultimately chosen for the obverse of the Sacagawea one dollar coin.

On Thursday, April 6, many important pieces of Goodacre’s art will be offered for sale at auction, including original works related to the design of the dollar coin.

In this episode of the CoinWeek Podcast, we speak with Dan about the auction, about the experience of designing the high profile coin, and what it was like to be a numismatic celebrity shortly after the the coin’s release.
