UPDATE, 3-27-2015: At a March 16 court hearing, Cheryl Kaye Smith–the 74-year-old woman driving the car in the video above–had a blood alcohol content of .084, slightly over the legal limit. Sentencing on the DUI charge is scheduled for April 22. She will be required to surrender her license as a condition of sentencing regardless of what the judge decides. Felony assault charges are still pending.

UPDATE, 4-30-2015: As of April 22, Ms. Smith will serve a 32-day sentence with 30 days suspended. She will also complete 48 hours of community service and pay a $900 fine. While her driver’s license has been suspended, her car will be returned to her–although, according to The Record-Courier, she plans on either donating or selling it.

Ms. Smith has not paid restitution to Northern Nevada Coin, nor has the shop reopened since the accident.
