History as Struck: The Medals of the United States Mint

At the 2018 Early American Coppers Convention in Traverse City, Michigan, numismatist John Kraljevich, a noted expert on U.S. Coins and Americana, gave an in-depth presentation on the topic of medals struck by the United States Mint.

The United States Mint has a long and storied history, not just as the maker of American coins, but also as the manufacturer of medals of great national and regional interest. Many of these medals are scarce, some are rare and unique, but nearly all of them are highly sought after by specialists in the field.

In this CoinWeek video, we present John’s informative talk with high quality images of each of the items discussed.
