Casino memorabilia enthusiasts have a unique opportunity to have their treasures evaluated by experts at the World’s Largest Casino Chip and Collectibles Exhibition, taking place June 12-14 at the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
The event, hosted by the Casino Collectibles Association, invites the public to bring vintage casino souvenirs- casino chips, tokens, dice, playing cards, or other branded keepsakes– for a chance to learn their history and value range from over 40 worldwide dealers.
Popular among collectors are vintage casino chips from the El Cortez, the Flamingo, the Golden Nugget, and the Stardust. Modern limited edition chips can also command big premiums.
In addition to the exhibition, the Casino Collectibles Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, will host four free educational seminars as part of its mission to preserve gaming history. A live auction featuring hundreds of casino chips and memorabilia will also be open to attendees at no extra cost. Both activities will take place in adjacent meeting rooms at the South Point. A complete show schedule is available at the association’s website.
Show hours are Thursday, June 12, from 10 AM to 5 PM ($10 admission); Friday, June 13, from 9 AM to noon ($5 admission) and free from noon to 4 PM; and Saturday, June 14, from 9 AM to 4 PM (free admission). First responders, active military, and casino employees with valid ID receive free entry every day. The event is located in Exhibit Hall D at the South Point Hotel Casino, 9777 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
