Very interesting what is happening with gold. It has come down nearly 10% in the past 30 days. We”re not quite sure where the bottom is. However, being the forever gold bugs we are, we are now even MORE bullish on all GOLD. In fact, we were shocked to read this article about Ebay on Thanksgiving on CNBC.com. We’re not the only ones who believe NOW is a great time to buy.
Even if its not the bottom (our motto is you’ll win if you can come within 10% of the top or bottom), there is little to NO doubt premiums have come down as well. You can
buy generic gold for small mark ups over melt. If you want to play the spreads, we recommend MS66 Saints, those coins have fallen as well. Even if gold should break $1,000.00 (GASP), the premiums on generic gold are currently so low you won’t lose a higher %.
We’re so bullish on generic gold right now-we have increased both the dollar amounts to buy and the number of different coins we are bidding on. Two examples: load us up on $2.5 Indians PCGS MS64+ CAC at $725.00 or $2.5 Indians PCGS CAC MS65 at $2,150.00. $5 Indian in GEM MS65 are so cheap right now we’re embarrassed to tell you our bids (and we are the high bidders too). So far we have not been hit on a single coin on any bids. Do note: we make markets ONLY in PCGS/NGC CAC coins.
Of course we LOVE better gold. We have recommended collectors build sets of $3 in AU to GEM. Hard to believe, that with mintages so small this is a set you can complete. Our favorite suggestion of course has been to build a Type Set. It can be simple-a basic 12 coin or all inclusive starting at 1796. Better gold (especially fresh choice to GEM Bust gold) still is heavily in demand and far out stripping supply. Regardless, a Gold Type set covers both your Rare Coin collecting and your gold investing.
If we could find more gold we like-you’d see it. There really is not a huge supply of the stuff. The cheaper gold also on lasts minutes (no exaggeration) on our web site anyway. We do suggest if you have tired or duplicate coins you don’t want, sell them and buy some gold coins. At today’s prices, the down side is minimal-in our opinion.
