Mint of Finland has been awarded a framework contract with the National Bank of Denmark (Danmarks Nationalbank) for a duration of four years. The agreement includes the manufacturing of all Danish coins during this period. Mint of Finland is the world’s leading exporter of coins and the largest manufacturer of coins and blanks in the euro zone.
CEO Paul Gustafsson comments on the significance of the deal: “This deal is important for us both in coin factory in Vantaa, Finland and blank factory in Halsbrucke, Germany.”
According to Gustafsson, Denmark has generated a modern and advanced tendering processes that ensures not only a competitive price but that there were also quality, security and compliance with corporate social responsibility.
Danmarks Nationalbank comments on choosing Mint of Finland: “The basis for the award criteria were the most economically advantageous tenders with relative weighing on Quality, Security and Corporate Social Responsibility.”
