Mint of Finland has been awarded a framework contract with the National Bank of Denmark (Danmarks Nationalbank) for a duration of four years. The agreement includes the manufacturing of all Danish coins during this period. Mint of Finland is the world’s leading exporter of coins and the largest manufacturer of coins and blanks in the euro zone.

CEO Paul Gustafsson comments on the significance of the deal: “This deal is important for us both in coin factory in Vantaa, Finland and blank factory in Halsbrucke, Germany.”

Danmarks Nationalbank comments on choosing Mint of Finland: “The basis for the award criteria were the most economically advantageous tenders with relative weighing on Quality, Security and Corporate Social Responsibility.”

  1. To clarify a bit further, while the illustration shows a roll of €2 coins, Denmark is not part of the Eurozone and continues to use its historical currency.
