The Million Dollar Currency Collection of Joel R. Anderson is the subject of this CoinWeek Exclusive video. We sit with Stack’s Bowers Galleries co-founder Q. David Bowers–as well as SBG currency experts Peter Treglia and Brad Ciociola–to discuss six highlight notes from the collection, including several notes that sold for over one million dollars at auction.

These million-dollar notes broke records when they were last offered for sale and should bring strong prices at the March Whitman Baltimore Expo over the course of several sessions conducted by Stack’s Bowers.

Included in this video is a discussion on a Gem $20 Technicolor note with serial number “1”; the rare, multi-million-dollar “Marcy” note; the famous Grand Watermelon note; and much more.

Stack’s Bowers offering of the banknotes of the Joel R. Anderson Collection will be a landmark event and a rare opportunity for the public to see this astonishing collection in person and for collectors to bid on and win the most significant banknotes in United States history.
