A benefit auction was held by the San Francisco Museum and Historical Society at the old San Francisco Mint.
The first coin of the legendary Saddle Ridge Gold Coin Treasure was sold to Ray Lent of Placer Partners who paid a record price for the coin with the funds being donated to the Society.
Ray explains why his partnership purchased the coin.
