A special label will be offered by PMG to celebrate the country’s anniversary and commemorate the release of these notes

Paper Money Guaranty (PMG) will offer a special label for the Singapore 50th Anniversary paper money set to be released later this year. This PMG certification label will feature the “SG50” little red dot logo and will be available at no additional charge for eligible notes.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Singapore’s independence. Celebrations and events are being held throughout the year to mark the occasion and the Singapore Mint has already issued several commemorative coins. The notes, which will be released later this year, will include five $10 notes and one $50 note. According to an article from The Straits Times, the late Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, the first Prime Minister of Singapore, will be featured on the $50 note.Singapore 50th Anniversary red dot logo

PMG will encapsulate these notes with the “SG50” little red dot logo used by Singapore to celebrate the country’s 50th anniversary. The logo will be printed to the left of the PMG grade on the PMG certification label.

The “SG50” logo label will be the default label for all submissions of Singapore 50th Anniversary notes. It will be available only for notes received by December 31, 2015.

If you would prefer that PMG encapsulate these notes without the “SG50” logo, write “Use Standard PMG Label” in bold letters on the PMG Submission Form.

If you would like the original packaging returned, select or write “Return Packaging” in bold letters on the PMG Submission Form. There will be an additional $3 fee per invoice if return packaging is selected.
