U.S. Mint Brings Morgan, Peace, and Gold Standing Liberty Releases to Summer FUN

U.S. Mint Hits Summer FUN With Morgan, Peace Dollars and a Gold Standing Liberty Set

The United States Mint will bring major collector energy to the 20th Annual Florida United Numismatists Convention in Orlando this week. Even better, US Mint Director Paul Hollis will help open the show as three high-interest 2026 Semiquincentennial products take center stage.

The Summer FUN convention runs July 9-11, 2026, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The show opens to the public at 10:00 a.m. EDT daily. Admission remains free, although attendees must secure a badge when they enter.

Director Hollis will participate in the ribbon-cutting ceremony outside Hall WC at 9:45 a.m. EDT on Thursday, July 9. Afterward, collectors can meet him at the United States Mint booth #1103 throughout the day.

That appearance gives Summer FUN attendees a direct line to the Mint’s top official during one of the most active product years in recent memory. Hollis, the 41st Director of the United States Mint, took office on January 5, 2026. He also brings more than 30 years of professional numismatic experience to the position.

Mint Booth #1103 Becomes a Semiquincentennial Stop

At booth #1103, the Mint will showcase current numismatic products, offer educational materials, and highlight its Semiquincentennial program. The 2026 program marks the 250th anniversary of American independence, and it has already created strong interest across classic U.S. coin series.

The Mint will release or feature three products during the convention:

  • 2026 Morgan Silver Dollar Reverse Proof Coin — product code 26XF
  • 2026 Peace Silver Dollar Reverse Proof Coin — product code 26XL
  • Best of the Mint 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter Dollar Gold Coin and Silver Medal Set — product code 26BM2

The 2026 Morgan Silver Dollar Reverse Proof Coin and the 2026 Peace Silver Dollar Reverse Proof Coin go on sale July 9 at noon ET.

Each coin carries the dual date “1776–2026” and a Liberty Bell privy mark with the numeral “250.” The Mint strikes both coins at the Philadelphia Mint in 99.9% fine silver. Each has a reeded edge, comes encapsulated, and ships in a blue presentation box with a certificate of authenticity.

The Mint lists each coin at $173. Each issue carries a mintage limit of 250,000 and a household order limit of 10.

For Morgan Dollar collectors, the release ties George T. Morgan’s classic Liberty design to the nation’s 250th anniversary. Meanwhile, the Peace Dollar gives Anthony de Francisci’s post-World War I design a new 2026 reverse proof treatment.

Standing Liberty Quarter Set Follows July 10

The Best of the Mint 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter Dollar Gold Coin and Silver Medal Set goes on sale July 10 at noon ET.

The set pairs a 24-karat gold quarter-dollar tribute with a one-ounce 99.9% silver companion medal. The Mint strikes the gold coin at West Point and the silver medal at Philadelphia. The product carries a $1,540 price, a mintage limit of 30,000, and a household order limit of one. The Mint says that household order limit will remain in place until noon ET on Monday, July 13.

This release marks the second entry in the Mint’s Best of the Mint Semiquincentennial series. The program revisits five historic American coin designs: the 1916 Mercury Dime, the 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter, the 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar, the 1804 Silver Dollar, and the 1907 Saint-Gaudens High Relief Double Eagle.

Why This Summer FUN Appearance Matters

The timing gives the Orlando show extra importance. Collectors will not only see new 2026 products; they will also meet Mint leadership and engage with the Mint’s broader 250th anniversary program in person.

For silver dollar collectors, July 9 brings two new reverse proof issues from the Morgan and Peace Dollar programs. Then, on July 10, the Best of the Mint series turns to one of the most admired designs of the American coinage renaissance: the 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter.

Together, the releases give Summer FUN a strong 2026 Mint presence. They also show how the Semiquincentennial program continues to connect classic American coin design with a once-in-a-generation national anniversary.
