Kevin Foley, Convention Chairman for the Central States Numismatic Society’s 77th Anniversary Convention, to be held April 27-30, 2016, has announced sponsorships for a number of the organization’s educational exhibit awards. Foley said, “Our educational exhibit area has earned a well deserved reputation as the major leagues of competitive exhibiting. We typically have roughly 50 individual exhibitors and 300 cases of truly exceptional educational displays to enhance the more commercial aspects of our convention.”

He continued, “In addition to our Ruhama and Leon Hendrickson Best of Show Award, in 2016 Heritage Auctions will be the sponsor of our All United States Coins category; the Mark Petty Foundation of our Juniors category; Professional Coin Grading Service of the Foreign Coins After 1500 A.D. awards; SEGS Grading Service the Foreign Coins Prior to 1500 A.D. category and in addition, Mack Martin will be endowing the Sandy Martin Memorial Awards in the All United States Paper Money category.”

hendricksoncsns2015Patricia Foley, Bourse Chairman for the CSNS convention added, “For as long as I can remember, the CSNS convention has taken justifiable pride in the undeniable quality and standards of our educational exhibits. It is a pleasure to see many of our exhibits now named after either well known dealers or collectors. Each and every one of our benefactors in subsidizing these awards has distinguished themselves by giving an extra measure to the overall numismatic community.”

She continued, “Four of our exhibiting categories are still available for sponsors to endow, All World Paper Money, Medals, Tokens and Miscellaneous. Collectors, coin clubs or dealers interested in sponsoring any of these categories should contact Convention Chairman Kevin Foley at [email protected].”

The CSNS convention will be held at the same site that has hosted it since 2012, the Schaumburg Convention Center and adjacent Renaissance Hotel, located at 1551 North Thoreau Drive, located roughly ten miles from Chicago’s O’Hare Airport. Dealers interested in space at the event should contact Bourse Chairman Patricia Foley at [email protected] for a bourse application
