CoinWeek IQ: Currency Notes with Personality, Feat. Dr. Don Kagin, Ph.D. – 4K Video

CoinWeek IQ: Analysis and Insights from the editors of CoinWeek.com …..
One of the most interesting and complex areas of American Numismatics is the study and collecting of paper money.

With denominations starting at just a few cents and ranging upwards to the ultimate U.S. denomination of $100,000, there is no doubt that currency notes can put up big numbers.

For many currency enthusiasts, a favorite collecting area centers around notes with beautiful designs, or what Dr. Don Kagin, Ph.D. of Kagin’s, Inc, calls “Personality Notes“.

In this CoinWeek IQ video, Dr. Don pulls out some of the highest-quality personality notes you will ever see and describes one-by-one why each of these notes have endeared themselves to generations of paper money collectors.

From the “Lazy Deuce” to the Lincoln Porthole, from the Tombstone note to the Educational Silver Certificate series, there’s something for everyone in this exclusive CoinWeek video.

  1. I am not much of a currency collector, but I really enjoyed watching this video and it makes me wish that our current notes had the kind of artistic flair that we once had 100+ years ago.
