According to a notice forwarded to news outlets from the United States Mint, the 2015 American Silver Eagle bullion coin is sold out of available inventory. Sales are expected to resume by July 28.
The following is a month-by-month breakdown of 2015 Silver Eagle bullion coin sales figures:

- January: 5,530,000
- February: 3,022,000
- March: 3,519,000
- April: 2,851,500
- May: 2,023,500
- June: 4,840,000
- July: 1,608,000
Total Units Sold: 23,394,000
The news follows on the heels of several high-profile sell-outs of new products from the Mint. First came the Blue Ridge Parkway 5 oz. silver bullion coin on June 22. Then came the Jacqueline Kennedy First Spouse 1/2 oz. gold proof and uncirculated coins. The Harry S. Truman Coin & Chronicles Set was an almost instantaneous sell-out within 15 minutes of its release on June 30.
