In March of 2014, eBay discontinued its coin authentication program. Robert Gurney was one of seven eBay authenticators.

He shares with CoinWeek ways coin collectors can protect themselves when buying coins on the auction site.

Wait, ebay is another TPG? Or do they just screen stuff on their web site? Sorry, I can’t watch the video at work.

  eBay is not a TPG. eBay had a team of experts in place that screened for counterfeits. That program no longer exists.
